WHAT DO YOU GET WITH A SHIH TZU ?
What Do You Get With a Shih Tzu?

Shih Tzu get along well with strangers, children, and other dogs, and their small size makes them ideal for today's compact quarters. they are not yappy dogs. A Shih Tzu would probably bark if a burglar were picking the lock on your front door. Once the intrider was inside your home, however your pet would be likely to give the intruder a guided tour! If you want a watchdog, a Shih Tzu is probably not for you. but if you want a small but sturdy, AFFECTIONATE,  and appealing companipn to share your life,  a Shih Tzu fits the bill.
Perhaps because of their long and intimate association with people, Shih Tzu seem almost human. Their faces can be very expressive. At times when a Shih Tzu is watching people talk, you would swear from his expressions that he understands what is being said. Many a squabble has been prevented by a Shih Tzu pawing in distress at the leg of a person who is raising their voice. Shih Tzu often enjoy watching television-and have definite likes about what they watch.

"Everyone needs to be owned by
a Shih Tzu"

The Shih Tzu Poem

 No other face
With wide eyes, and a flat snout
Could love you more than me
There is no other place
Than with you in our house
That I would rather be

So please love me unconditionally
Let me sleep by your side
Walk by you with my prideful stride
Sniff and snort and dance
Kiss and cuddle and prance

Let me learn how to behave
Let me play and play and play
Let me be a bit sad when you leave
But please, most of all
Love me unconditionally.

Forget the shoes that I chewed
Behind the couch where I pooed
Or on the rug  where I peed
Please, just love me unconditionally.

Never let me get lost
Alone, and scared, in the heat or the frost
I need you to see me through life
To be by my side
And me at your side

No other face like mine
Will love you just for being my leader,
My teacher  My guardian,
And best of all my friend.

But most important to me,
 That you love me unconditionally.
 No matter what I do
Because I will always love you

A PET'S TEN COMMANDMENTS...

1. My life is likely to last 10-15 years. Any separation from you is likely to be painful.
2. Give me time to understand what you want of me.

3. Place your trust in me. It is
Crucial for my well-being.

 4. Don't be angry with me for long and don't lock me up as punishment. You have your work, your friends, your
Entertainment, but I have only you.

5. Talk to me. Even if I don't understand your words, I do understand your voice when speaking to me.

6. Be aware that however you treat me, I will never forget it.

7. Before you hit me, before you strike me, remember
That I could hurt you, and yet, I choose not to bite you.

8. Before you scold me for being lazy or uncooperative,
Ask yourself if something might be bothering me.
Perhaps I'm not getting the right food, I have been
In the sun too long, or my heart might be getting old or weak.

9. Please take care of me when I grow old. You too,
Will grow old.

10. On the ultimate difficult journey, go with me
Please. Never say you can't bear to watch. Don't
Make me face this alone. Everything is easier for me
If you are there, because I love you so. ALWAYS!

~Take a moment today to thank God for your pets.
Enjoy and take good care of them. Life would be
A much dull ER, less joyful experience without
God's critters~

Now please pass this on to other pet owners. We
Do not have to wait for Heaven, to be surrounded
By hope, love, and joyfulness. It is here on earth
And has four legs!

Having a Shih Tzu

Having a Shih Tzu is NOT like owning an "outdoor" dog. He needs attention so if you are thinking about getting this breed, be prepared to share...
your time, your love, your life.
Is that a bad thing? Who couldn't use more happiness? One little Shih Tzu will delight your family, friends, & neighbors. In turn, you'll be happier and spread your happiness to others, who will continue to spread that goodwill.

IF WE ALL OWNED SHIH TZU, THINK OF HOW NICE THE WORLD WOULD BE!
